The annual award highlights the importance of arts patronage in communities around the world with the first of the award ceremonies taking place with an international kick-off in Spain on May 4 th , 2017.
As a fundamental part of any thriving society, the arts enrich the mind and inspire audiences with new creative perspectives. However, the innovative and thought-provoking perspectives of young or emerging artists require support to become reality. The financial and personal commitment of a small number of passionate individuals who value the impact of art, give a wide-array of artists the means to conceive, create and share new artistic points of view. While
many awards celebrate the work and creativity of artists, whether visual artists, musicians, performers, filmmakers or choreographers, the #montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Awards puts an unconventional focus on the world’s most committed patrons. Through their support, arts projects and cultural initiatives involving young artists become accessible to broader audiences. Now in its 26 th year, the award will be presented in 17 countries including Bangladesh for the first time, recognizing arts patronage in the Middle East, India and Africa region.
