Design is not art but it can be artistic. It is a creative process that finds inspiration in many fields. Sometimes, artistic influences from the past are brought back to the modern world. Some others are at the vanguard of other disciplines. No matter how, #design is, without a doubt, the best way to solve the present challenges, to reinvent the future with large doses of creativity.
Sancal's new collection is not a museum nor our furniture works of art, but together with new products, you will find paintings and sculptures that reflect on controversial issues like the role of women in art, the relationship between emptiness and matter or the eagerness of the creative professions.
"Creative moments surround us and this has led us to imagine a fictitious temple of creation", explains Elena Castaño-López Art Director.
Like most museums, the new collection is introduced within several exhibitions. The permanent exhibtion includes the 10 new products as well as the monographic "Void Maters" and the temporary exhibition "Women x Women".
