The New Generation Festival

Following The ReGeneration Festival in the Boboli Gardens last August, which employed over 400 artists, musicians and contractors during an exceptionally challenging period for so many #people in our industry, we were looking forward to the next edition of our festival in 2021.

Unfortunately, the ongoing restrictions since the autumn have presented numerous organisational challenges and we remain unable to forecast confidently enough whether favourable conditions will return for the planning and delivery of large-scale events such as ours in time for this summer.

We have therefore decided to take a pause with the main festival in 2021 and make the most of this time to prepare an even more special celebration in 2022 once the pandemic has hopefully been brought under control.

In the meantime, we have lots of pictures, films and reviews of last year's festival for you to enjoy, included below and on the NGF website. In addition, if you continue to scroll down, you can read about our upcoming activities this year: the Mascarade Opera Studio, Andermatt Music and 23Arts LIVE.

We will be ready to celebrate culture and music all together again as soon as it is permissible!

Our second term at the Mascarade Opera Studio in the #palazzocorsini al Prato, Florence, which continues to train and support young opera singers and répétiteurs at this difficult time, has got off to a terrific start despite ongoing restrictions. The year 2020 posed many challenges for the performing arts industry. As soon as federal and cantonal requirements allow it, we are ready to pick up where we left off last year. The Andermatt Music Young Artist Concert Programme will commence with five concerts in the first half of 2021. Once again, we will be able to count on the generous support of our partner Bank Julius Bär.
