Balkan by Flavio Favelli | Turbomondi (Melodia) by Andrea Martinucci | Visiting Programme per Art Weekend Belgrade
The tour begins looking out to the east of the Adriatic sea along the Western Balkans and touches the three cities of #podgorica, #tirana and Belgrade, respectively with the first solo exhibition Balkan by #flaviofavelli in Montenegro (Muzeji i Galerije of #podgorica, 29 October - 12 December), the preview of the video Turbomondi (Melody) by #andreamartinucci (Zeta Contemporary Art Center, 19 and 20 October) and a special visiting programme for #elisadelprete on the Serbian art scene on the occasion of the #artweekendbelgrade (Belgrade, 20 - 24 October).
BALKAN by FLAVIO FAVELLI
The Muzeji i Galerije in Podgorica presents in the spaces of the Modern Galerija, Balkan, the first solo exhibition of #flaviofavelli in Montenegro, curated by #elisadelprete and Silvia Litardi, from 29 October to 12 December 2021.
Already present in #podgorica two years ago and in Cattaro in 2016 in collective exhibitions, #flaviofavelli has stood out in Montenegro for his artistic practice strongly in dialogue with the territory. His ability to read the context of transformation that the country is experiencing in the epochal transition from a socialist culture to a capitalist one, brings him back here for his first solo show in a public museum. Through a selection of mostly unpublished works in Balkan Favelli investigates the sedimentation of the memory of a country, making it universal to offer to the local public, but not only, an external critical look to open a wider debate on the current events we are now living.
