We feel closely connected to the local people and those fleeing, as well as to their families and friends worldwide. And we are encouraged in our task of living diversity in the #humboldtforum as a cosmopolitan place for critical exchange and cultural debates in exchange with national and international cooperation partners and visitors and to offer a platform for polyphony."

The multi-year program The Palace of the Republic is present explores the meaning of this place, which is still relevant today, and asks about power and participation. It deals with the Palace of the Republic in several phases: as a political and cultural center in the GDR, through the site of the peaceful revolution and the first freely elected People's Chamber, through the palace debate and cultural interim uses to the demolition and the place in memory and begins on 30 April and 1 May 2022 with a themed weekend. From May 12th to 15th, 2022 the WENDECIRCUS will be a guest. The Palace Edition! in the Schlueterhof. Further Events and a special exhibition are being prepared for the next few years.

From June 17 to October 30, 2022, the #humboldtforum will be the only German-language station to host the multi-award-winning special exhibition Songlines. Seven Sisters Create Australia presented by the National Museum of Australia in Canberra. Songlines , presented in #Berlin by the #humboldtforum Foundation in the #Berlin Palace in cooperation with the Ethnological Museum of the #Berlin State Museums, tells one of the central creation stories of the Australian continent and was curated by representatives of indigenous communities from the Central and Western Deserts.

The performative lecture series The Humboldt Experiment, staged by Brazilian director Mirah Laline, creates encounters between Humboldt researchers from the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) and #contemporaryart. Postcolonial perspectives of artists from Latin America thus enter into a dialogue with research by and about Alexander von Humboldt. Media artist Nelson Vergara from Bogotá and Humboldt expert Tobias Kraft will kick things off on March 17, 2022. At the center of the performative encounter is Humboldt's ascent to the Chimborazo.

Several artistic collaborations, series of Events and discourses that were successfully introduced last year will be continued. The discourse series 99 questionson March 21, in cooperation with the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art of the #Berlin State Museums, examines how museums and colonial collections relate to questions of nature and ecology. In the MitWissenschaft series , which sees itself as a continuation of Alexander von Humboldt's Kosmos lectures, on March 28 literary scholars ask how literature should be understood as a global phenomenon.

After the Resident Music Collective could already be experienced as part of the openings in 2020/21, the #Berlin musicians* from diasporic communities will return to #Berlin on the Easter weekend 2022 with three concerts. On April 15, the musicians will take the audience on an experimental sound journey, on April 16, the audience can get involved in a duel of sound , and the conclusion will be the Spring Sounds concert on April 17, 2022.
