ArtDate Contemporary art festival 12th Edition FREE BODY November 10 11 12 13 Bergamo

FREE BODY is the topic of the 12th Edition of #artdate, the #contemporaryart festival taking place in #bergamo from 10 to 13 November. It is a wide reflection, through exhibitions, lectures, performances, readings, and screenings, on what it means - assuming it is possible today or ever was - to have a free body.

The Festival is anticipated by an opening lecture featuring guest speaker Piergiorgio Odifreddi, Italian mathematician, logician, essayist and academic, in conversation with Claudia Santeroni, coordinator of The Blank. The talk will be streamed on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. via all of the association's social channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitch).

On Thursday, November 10, it opens at Palazzo della Ragione ARTE IN OPERA, curated by Giacinto Di Pietrantonio and Stefano Raimondi, a dialogue between Jonathan Monk, Giulio Paolini and Salvo, and at the Ex Ateneo CORPI IN TRANSITO, curated by Elisa Muscatelli, a group exhibition in which participate some of the main members of The Blank's network: Accademia di belle arti G. Carrara, Galleria Elleni, Marelia – Servizi per l'Arte, Spazio Volta, Studio Vanna Casati, Superstudiolo, Traffic Gallery, Triangoloarte.

On Friday, November 11, Accademia di belle arti G. Carrara hosts a talk with Ian Tweedy and Elisa Carollo. At luogo_e opens the group show PADRONE E CANE, while at Porta S. Agostino takes place the performance SCULPTURE TRAINING by Graham Hudson, assisted by trainer Lorenzo Uguccioni, curated by Maria Marzia Minelli and Claudia Santeroni.

Saturday, November 12, begins with LEFT BEHIND, an exhibition by Ian Tweedy curated by Elisa Carollo at The Drawing Hall.
The afternoon is entirely dedicated to GALLERIES TIME, during which Bergamo's galleries and exhibition spaces open shows specially conceived around the Festival theme: a special free shuttle is organized between the various locations, the tour of which ends at the show at the Ex Ateneo, where takes place the performance of artist Daniele Di Girolamo, WHY CONTROL EVERYTHING?, in collaboration with Traffic Gallery.
GAMeC - Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di #bergamo provides guided tours of the exhibitions of Dora Budor and La Collezione Impermanente #3.0.
At DASTE - Lo Schermo Bianco, there is a screening organized in collaboration with Lab 80 film of LA LEGGE – video lettura della Costituzione italiana recitata dagli animali con la voce del padrone, editing by Barbara Faonio. This will be followed by a meeting with the author, Flavia Mastrella. DASTE also hosts the performance PORNODRAMA2 by Giuseppe Comuniello and Camilla Guarino, produced in collaboration with Festival ORLANDO.

Sunday, November 13, begins at Porta S. Agostino with a lecture by philosopher Felice Cimatti, Un divenire animale per il corpo umano.
At Palazzo della Ragione takes place the kids lab PENSA IL CORPO, curated by Luci su Marte.
At Sala Galmozzi there is the presentation HOSTING POWER, an open and shared reflection on the role of artist residencies in contemporary practices, promoted by Stare.
In the afternoon, the appointment with the artists' open studios is back: organized shuttles, free of charge but by reservation, bring to the discovery of the workshops of Cinzia Benigni, Emma Ciceri, Mariella Bettineschi, Francesco Pedrini, Roberto Picchi and Nicola Zanni, Claudio Sugliani, and Luisella Traversi Guerra.
talk with Giovanni Chiamenti and a screening of the teaser of OBLIVIOUS SHIFT, a project born from the exhibition promoted by the 10th edition of Italian Council, is organized at the Spazio Volta video library in Città Alta.
ArtDate concludes at Porta S. Agostino with the event curated by #bergamo Film Meeting, OVERTOUR (Italy 2021, 72'): the screening of Andrea Zanoli's documentary preceded by a meeting with the director and the performer and choreographer Silvia Gribaudi.

All the accessible proposals of #artdate are realized through LISten Project, promoted by The Blank Educational.
