Gandia Blasco Group celebrates Art Week in Valencia: "Night at the Museum 2023" at the Museum of Fine Arts of València and acquisition awards by Abierto Valencia alongside LAVAC

Coinciding with the celebration of València #design Fest and the 2023 Hábitat Fair, the main international event in the industry, Gandia Blasco Group has once again collaborated with LZF Lamps in an exhibition located in one of the main cultural centers of its homeland, the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia (MuBAV).

In the second edition of NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, with an event that brought together art, #design, and gastronomy, on September 19th an exhibition was inaugurated born out of the desire to highlight natural materials and craftsmanship, creating a unique and unforgettable experience about wood #design, around which ancient methods have been forged, revealing the artisanal skill of various cultures. Free to enter, the exhibition will remain open to the public for a month, until October 19th.

The project is framed by the major monographic exhibition in collaboration with the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation, dedicated to Joaquín Sorolla in commemoration of the centenary of his death, whose installation is inspired by a #design by architect Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992). Thus, alongside Sorolla's works, visitors can discover contemporary #design pieces such as GOZ, a series of handwoven rugs designed by the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma for GAN, and the new collection created by the German designer Bodo Sperlein for LZF Lamps. This installation and its museographic staging allude to the roots of merging art with #design that are in the DNA of both Gandia Blasco Group and LZF Lamps.

In the context of the eleventh edition of Abierto Valencia, one of the most prominent events in the artistic and cultural sphere of the Valencian Community, which took place from September 22nd to 29th, Gandia Blasco Group once again participated in the acquisition awards organized by the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of the Valencian Community (LAVAC). On this occasion, the company has added the work "Recorrer los restos" by Adrián Jorques, presented by the Vangar gallery, to its art collection.

One more year, Abierto #valencia awarded acquisition prizes by the Conselleria de Cultura for the "Best Exhibition" and by the València City Council for the "Outstanding Artist." In addition to #gandiablascogroup, other organizations and entities have been part of the acquisition program, such as the Hortensia Herrero Foundation, the DKV collection, and the Juan José Castellano Comenge Foundation, among others.
