In 2024, Arte Fiera will mark its 50th anniversary, a milestone achieved by no other Italian art fair and surpassed by only two others in Europe. It originated in 1974 when BolognaFiere introduced a small section for modern and contemporary art alongside the Trade Fair, quickly gaining success. Starting with ten galleries in the first edition, the fair grew to 200 within a year. Arte Fiera di Bologna 2024 is an exceptional event celebrating its roots with a captivating journey into the past, revisiting key figures and events from its early editions and the vibrant cultural scene of Bologna in 1970s.
