nhow Milano launches the exhibition “Multilayers”  November 13th 2014 – April 5th 2015

Contamination and overlapping of materials, images and concepts. This is how nhow Milano welcomes its guests and visitors, where the works of art and design by 16 national and international artists are exhibited on all its four floors

Milan, October XX 2014 - Overlapping layers, stratification of levels. The exhibition "Multilayers" - opening on November 13th until April 5th, 2015 at nhow Milano in Via Tortona 35 in the creative centre of Milan - offers its visitors a unique show featuring contaminations of concepts and materials (photographs, textiles and mirrors ...), and layering of images. Hub of art, design and fashion, nhow Milan is the first of a family of non-conventional hotels also present in Berlin and Rotterdam. With the exhibition "Multilayers" nhow Milano explores both the organic and social aspects of our lives through the work of 16 national and international artists. On one hand, every being is in itself a body made of multiple dimensions, not just physical, but also emotional, psychological and spiritual. On the other hand, our lives are structured on several levels, those of love, work, friendship, experiences and memories that pile up in us. Everyone is a "one" composed of many elements that fit together in varying ways and degrees.

The works on display at nhow Milano are perfectly integrated in its innovative structure, which – thanks to its architectural solutions and unique interiors – is itself a piece of art and design, the perfect setting for art exhibitions of design, art, technology, materials and manufacturing processes.
nhow Milano, designed by Daniele Beretta, is a suggestive location, a building of industrial archaeology, historic site of a former General Electric of which it still preserves the structure. In this way, the objects and the works chosen for the exhibition, participate in changing walls, corners, corridors and spaces and amazing every time guests and whoever happens to come for a flash visit.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, November 13th and will be on show in the nhow spaces until April 5th, 2015. During the opening night the duo Musetta (Matteo Curcio and Marinella Mastrosimone) will give a live performance, in collaboration with the Milan Music Consulting.
The curator of the exhibition is Elisabetta Scantamburlo, art director at nhow Milano.

nhow identifies a new unconventional, life-affirmative, cosmopolitan and always on the move hotel generation. It performs spaces, times and services from the beginning of the stay: as you enter in the hotel, from the corridors to the rooms, nhow wraps up totally. As a mood to enjoy life, nhow introduces a new way of hospitality and it aims to become a benchmark for the most innovative cultural, social and creative organizations of the big globalized and continuous-changing cities. nhow concept is the lifestyle brand of NH Hotel Group in Milan, where design and fashion join together, in Berlin, where the focuses are design and music, and nhow Rotterdam, where creative works of famous artists, known designers and local aspiring talents are possible to watch in a sort of platform to share urban and progressive art.
