At GAmeC Bergamo, the book launch of 'Mario Sironi. La grandezza dell'arte, le tragedie della storia'

About Sironi, among the greatest artists of the twentieth century, there was no biography that could recreate the dramatic existential and crucial artistic events. The volume of Elena Pontiggia fills this gap through long archival research and a large number of unpublished documents. So shall review the whole Sironi work, correcting errors historiography so far widespread and illuminating unknown sides of its business. The clear language and sliding biography combines philological contributions with narrative simplicity and makes interesting reading not only for art lovers but also for those who want to know the history of the twentieth century through its emblematic witness.
