Future opera stars will be holding a gala concert on 9 March 2020 in the atrium of the #mercedesbenzmuseum with the title “Experience the stars of tomorrow today”. On the occasion of the ten-year anniversary of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper #stuttgart, the young singers will be performing alongside the opera studio of the Opéra national du Rhin from Strasbourg. Highlights of opera literature await.
The following artists will be offering arias and ensembles: From the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper #stuttgart, #elliottcarltonhines (baritone), #jasperleever (bass-baritone), #claudiamuschio (soprano), #carinaschmieger (soprano), #christophersokolowski (tenor), #charlessy (tenor) and #alexandraurquiola (mezzo-soprano). From the opera studio of Opéra national du Rhin Tristan Blanchet (tenor), Julie Goussot (soprano), Eugénie Joneau (mezzo-soprano), Thomas Kiechle (tenor), Claire Péron (mezzo-soprano) and Jacob Scharfman (baritone) are expected. The singers will be accompanied by Karolina Halbig, Davide Rinaldi (both Opéra national du Rhin) and Alan Hamilton (Staatsoper Stuttgart) on the piano.
The evening’s programme will range from Mozart and Rossini to Berlioz, Bizet and Bellini.
The “Experience the stars of tomorrow today” gala concert begins on 9 March 2020 at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:00 p.m. The concert will end at around 9:15 p.m., and there will be a 15-minute intermission, during which time the café bar of the #mercedesbenzmuseum will be open.
Ticket pre-sales for the approx. 400 seats in the atrium of the museum has already begun. The tickets cost 26 euros. The joint concert is taking place in cooperation with the #mercedesbenzmuseum. The evening underlines the artistic vibrancy of the city twinning between #stuttgart and Strasbourg.
The International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper #stuttgart, founded in 2010, prepares particularly talented young opera singers for their professional careers after completing their degrees. The Opera Studio currently has seven members.
