LOOP Barcelona Fair 2020. Hybrid edition, physical and online format

LOOP #fair 2020

In view of the current circumstances, LOOP #fair 2020 is happy to present a hybrid edition. On the one hand, the #fair will host 29 galleries from 17 countries on the #online platform of its website (17-26 November).

On the other hand, LOOP will maintain its physical format with the presentation of LOOP Salon, which brings together a selection of works from the #fair at the Museu d’Història de Catalunya (17-19 November).

Curated by the fair’s director Aurélien Le Genissel, the exhibition untitled Tales from an Old World reflects on the meaning of approaching narratives and images that today seem taken from another time, the one before the pandemic.

The #fair committee, formed by Haro Cumbusyan, Renee Drake, Josée & Marc Gensollen, Isabelle Lemaître, and chaired by Jean-Conrad Lemaître, has valued the strength of the galleries’ programs and the quality of the artists’ works.

The fair’s jury for Acquisition Award will be formed by Ferran Barenblit (Director, Museu d’Art Contemporani de #barcelona – MACBA, Barcelona), Daniela Zyman (Chief Curator and Artistic Director, TBA21, Vienna), Dirk Snauwaert (Artistic Director, WIELS, Brussels), Andrea Lissoni (Artistic Director, Haus der Kunst Munich) and Benjamin Weil (Artistic Director, Centro Botín, Santander).

For this 2020 edition, we’re also very happy to announce a new collaboration with Artland, a digital platform dedicated to #contemporaryart and galleries where you’ll find all the participants of the #fair.
