Monaco Sculptures 2021 - Sale on 22 July 2021 at 16.00, Monaco Viewing in Monaco from end of April to end of August 2021

For almost twenty years #artcurial has been holding a series of summer sales in Monaco during the month of July. This year we will once again be inviting sculpture enthusiasts! Following the success of the first Monaco Sculptures sale in 2019, #artcurial will hold the second edition this year with a unique walk around the Principality to discover the biggest names in sculpture of the 20th and 21st century.

MONTE CARLO – #artcurial, with a long-standing presence in the Principality, will hold its second Monaco Sculptures sale in partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, the company that owns and manages the most prestigious tourist establishments in the Principality.

The sale will bring together an exclusive selection of the biggest names in sculpture from the 20th and 21st centuries. The artists featuring in the sale include Bernar Venet, Tony Cragg, César, Philippe Hiquily, Niki de Saint Phalle, Robert Combas, Pablo Reinoso, Di teana, Balthasar Lobo, Arman and Wim Delvoye.

Artcurial has organised a sculpture walk that winds through the gardens of the Principality, as well as open areas of the Hôtel de Paris, Hotel Hermitage and the Monte-Carlo Beach Club.

« Monaco Sculptures promises a real moment of enjoyment for enthusiasts, offering the chance to discover the eponymous sculpture of Balthasar Lobo at the Hôtel de Paris and the “Mental Landscape” of Tony Cragg close to the Casino. Looking up from there will be the monumental “Arc” by Bernar Venet and, by the Hotel Hermitage, the 6m-high « La femme lune » by Philippe Hiquily gives visitors the sense of touching the sky, before appearing to hold hands symbolically with « Adam et Eve », the eternal lovers of Niki de Saint-Phalle, nestled in this palace of dreams. »

– Martin Guesnet, Director #artcurial Europe
