Gallery Talk in English
Gallery talk by the Roppongi Crossing 2022 museum staff member conducted in a gallery-tour format. No booking is required.

“Meet the Artists”
Kanagawa Shingo “Photographing/Looking at, Knowing and Understanding Another”

The participants will join Roppongi Crossing 2022 exhibition-featured artist Kanagawa Shingo in a program of dialogue and practice around photographing a specific person. The idea will be to photograph the same person multiple times, and join in contemplating the connection between photographing others, and looking at, knowing, and understanding them.

Dates & Times: Three sessions total. Please be sure you can attend all three.

Han Ishu “Roppongi Art Class”

For this workshop, Roppongi Crossing 2022 exhibition-featured artist Han Ishu will lead a one-off art class. After hearing about Han’s art practice to date, participants will undertake some artmaking of their own, based on a particular theme, in an art class that may turn out to be a little different to what they imagined...

Community Engagement Program
“Tsumumai Project: Express Your Ideas through Movement”

* Conducted in Japanese

Taking as its theme “maturity of cities and people,” this project initiative will involve joining dancer and choreographer Morishita Maki to consider ways of communicating and sending messages using the body, and develop these ideas into the “Tsumumai (Weaving Motions) Project” using the body as a means of expression. All you need is an interest in physical expression, so come and join us!
